the lesser of 20GBPs or the purchase price of the Item that is the subject

clauses survive indefinitely after the termination of any completed sale.

An attempt will be made to make book deliveries in a timely manner. Neither the author, nor any of his agents, however, will be held responsible for delays beyond their control. This might include, amongst other reasons, postal, shipping and printing problems; strikes; local catastophies; custom, taxation and other actions undertaken by Governments or their agents; and illness. In particular the books will be shipped out of the UK with zero rate Value Added Tax by either Royal Mail Airmail or ParcelForce. No warranty is made or implied about local custom duties, tariffs, taxes or local delivery charges and these will be the responsibilty of the buyer.
In the event of faulty or otherwise rejected books, if the buyer returns them within 14 days with a maxmum postage of 10 GBPs fresh books or a refund via the PayPal account used or via an electronic cheque to the card used for purchase will be made. Refunds will be for the orginal GBP amount and currency fluctuations and any local charges that may have been paid will be ignored.
